Dear Members, Partners and Friends of The Latino Coalition (TLC)
These are consequential times for the Latino Community. Think of the facts:
- Hispanic-owned businesses are the fastest growing segment of the small-business population;
- Latino purchasing power will soon surpass 1.3 trillion;
- And, as we have always done, Latinos are contributing in immeasurable ways to America’s Communities and to the very fabric of our great nation.
Nevertheless, there is still work to be done so that the Latino Community may reach fulfillment of its considerable economic and social potential.
That’s why TLC is working to develop and promote policies and strategies to ensure that the American Dream-particularly the opportunity for upward economic mobility that comes with business ownership-is accessible to all Latinos.
Like so many other American families from all kinds of backgrounds, the key to my own family’s upward mobility was business ownership- a course that is still unparalleled in its ability to raise the income level and quality of life for all Americans.
By partnering with the public and private sectors an organizations that share our interests, TLC is growing our influence- and our ability to help our community achieve the American Dream.-every day. Our rising profile means that we are able to effectively advocate on behalf of the Hispanic community on issues ranging from immigration reform to tax reform, healthcare to energy policy.
TLC’s agenda is centered in the “four C’s” that all business owners need:
Capital, Capacity building, Contracts and Cost control.
Capacity Building, as well as access to capital and contracts, is enhanced by the networking opportunities and partnerships that TLC provides to its members.
Cost Control, is addressed through advocacy agenda, where we are telling lawmakers to use common sense when it comes to regulations, taxes and health insurance.
Together, the four C’s create a platform for success for current and future generations of Latinos.
Thank you for visiting our site- and please come back periodically to stay up to date on the latest information and TLC activities.
We hope we can count on your support and membership, and we’d love to have you join us for one of our high impact meetings this year. Hasta pronto, see you soon!
